Pros of Coworking

Community, Community, Community

Arguably the biggest benefit of coworking is being a part of a coworking community! Work can often be isolating, especially if you work alone or remotely. It can be hard to fulfill our need for social interaction when we’re stuck behind our computer screens all day. However, coworking provides you with the opportunity to form new bonds and new connections because like-minded, hard working individuals like yourself are literally all around you!

Networking

While building personal relationships is nice, coworking also provides you with the opportunity to build beneficial business relationships as well! Those like-minded, hardworking individuals we mentioned earlier are great business people with whom to network. At a coworking space you’ll meet people who excel in areas where you struggle, and vice versa. Whether you end up mutually helping each other out or end up hiring each other as contractors, these resources are a huge pro of coworking!

Productivity

Many studies have shown that coworking increases productivity, especially when transitioning from working at home. When you’re on your comfortable couch with dogs barking, dishes piling up, and the Amazon delivery person at the door...it can be hard to get any work done. Having a separate space away from home (and away from all of those distractions) can be extremely beneficial to both you and your business. This space will also make it easier to maintain a healthy work/life balance by providing a distinct separation between the two.

Collaboration

While networking can connect you with the yin to your yang, it can also connect you with valuable collaborative partners. Sometimes chatting with a fellow coworker about your similar projects can create the potential for joining forces on a new undertaking. It’s not unusual to walk through a coworking space and see tech gurus chatting about the latest development in coding while content creators compare marketing strategies. All of this collaboration can improve your business and spark ideas that you may have never otherwise considered.

Flexibility

If you’re someone who wants to have a dedicated work space, but isn’t ready to commit to a traditional office lease, then coworking is perfect for you! Coworking allows you to enjoy all the perks of being a part of an office community without the long term (and potentially pricey) commitment. Many coworking spaces also provide day to day flexibility in terms of work environment. Do you need to be alone with your thoughts on a difficult project? Then you can find a secluded hub or alcove in which to work. Would you rather be surrounded by other people in an effort to get the creative juices flowing? Then find an empty spot at a table and join a larger group. The possibilities are endless!
